Pop Warner Football Tournament | Forever Life Achievers
Event Details
*Email excerpt(s) below:
*******************************
Event Name: Pop Warner Football Tournament, hosted by Forever Life Achievers this event will host football teams from 5U - 14U.
Requested Dates: November 16-17th. Potential final tournament on December 21st we can discuss and decide on this after we access the success of the first event.
Custodians: I will be emailing Scott, to confirm that we can have an active janitor while this event is taking place, this will ensure that the bathrooms and concession area is constantly cleaned and also to ensure that our bleachers area is cleaned each day as well.
Number of Spectators Expected: In total the organization is expecting 300-400 participants. This will not all be at once but staggard throughout the day as different teams play. I have informed the organization that we only have one side of bleachers, it is normed that most fans bring yard/lawn chairs so I believe we should be more than able to accommodate seating wise.
Security Requirements: Forever Life Achievers will provide JSO security. I will receive a follow up email to confirm the total number of officers. They will also provide and do metal detector checks as fans enter the campus.
Concession Stands: KIPP Jacksonville will receive 100% of the profit from concessions stand. I will go to Sams on Thursday November 14th to purchase enough to last us for both days. All sells will be cashless and go through Go-Fan, we can also present the idea of cash, and have it turned into finance Monday. This is optional Wilkinson; I will let you make the final call. I also spoke with Coach Jordan, and we may have a KIPP Parent who can grill hot food such as hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken. This will be confirmed with Coach Jordan as soon as possible. Coach Jordan has also confirmed that football players will be able to run the concession stand and will do shifts.
Access to the Field: The only individuals with field access will be Coach Jordan, Coach Jordan football staff, Bold City High Football Players, and each pop warner team and respective coaches. No parents, fans, or spectators will be allowed on the field at any time.
Marketing and Promotional Opportunity: I believe this event provides an excellent platform to promote KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools and Bold City High School within the community. It’s a chance to showcase our facilities and further establish our presence in the area. We will have our fans that we gave out during football season available for families who submit their email and sign up for our mailing list.
Sound Booth: The football Team Managers will manage the sound booth, after speaking with the organization they will have an official for score board, play clock, and MC-ing the game. However, our managers will monitor use of equipment and make sure our visitors are following guidelines.
Showcasing Bold City Sports: This event allows us to showcase the sports we have available at Bold City High School. I'm excited to see the benefit this can potentially have.

Senior Night
Senior Night Itinerary
This is the order of events, we cannot and will not postpone (or wait) for late arrivals. We will do everything on time according to the script:
The Ridgeview Game (10/4/24) is Senior Night, we will have the field setup for Senior + Parent/Guardian Walk, players and assistant coaches will lineup in designated support area, we will have a table with memorabilia, flower [rose | Mother/Female], a poster for each senior, and they will take a picture with the Head Coach (me) in front of our Football Media Backdrop.
Parent/Guardian Attire | Black, White, Teal, and/or Grey {Bold City Greyhounds Colors}
Parents/Guardians arrive before 5:30PM (entering through the back hallway entrance) to meet Coach Jordan in RM134. At this time, all Football Program Stakeholders will be preparing to line up on the field.
Seniors will be waiting, fully dressed, in RM134 for their Parent/Guardian.
@5:45PM | Parents/Guardians with Seniors, will travel with Ms. Davis, 2x2, to Designated Area on the Field.
Players and Assistant Coaches will lineup (tunnel) on the Retention Pond Side of the 50Yd. Line (up to the 40Yd. Line) and Parents/Guardians will lineup on the Scoreboard Side of the 50Yd. Line (toes on the 40Yd. Line).
@5:55PM | We will introduce (announce) all Seniors (by Jersey # first | 1-by-1), their Parents/Guardians, and the accompanying individual(s). Superlatives will be read immediately after announcing names.
When Seniors hear their Jersey Number announced they (and parents/guardians) will walk towards the 50Yd. Line to meet and lock arms. Parents/Guardians will receive the Rose + Memorabilia, Seniors will receive their Player Portrait (Poster).
We will closeout each Senior taking a picture with Coach Jordan and saying, “SKOHOUNDS”— That will be the cue to depart to one side (nearest the scoreboard and the retention pond | Staff will be on field to Direct) for the Full Senior Picture at the end (cued to gather at the 50Yd. Line).
In closing, Seniors + Parents/Guardians will take a group picture, then exit the field the same way they entered with a round of applause from spectators, coaches, and players! | The entire event will take up to 15Mins.
“Only Parents/Guardians will Walk and take Pictures with Seniors on the Field”
*Parents/Guardians with any additional questions that are not answered above may reach out to me (Coach Jordan) separately. | Any adjustments will posted (updated) here.

Game Day | September 28, 2024 @12:00PM
The KIPP JAX Region canceled school (Friday).
We will reschedule the game for Saturday, September 28, 2024 @12:00PM.
“KIPP Jacksonville Staff,
We hope you all have made your storm preparations and that you and your families remain safe as the storm continues to grow in the Gulf. Please note the following changes to our storm plan.
School is now canceled on Friday. All afterschool activities and sports events on Friday will also be canceled and rescheduled.
Today, all staff should be working remotely from their homes if possible. On Friday, staff members are not required to work remotely. We want you to be safe and take care of your families.
Due to these closures, we will have a regular school day and offices will be open on Monday, November 11—formally a regional weather day. We must do this to ensure we have enough school hours to meet Florida Statutes, which contribute to the health of our school grades.
If you are new to Florida and this is your first hurricane, please monitor your local weather channels for updates and tips on staying safe.
Please stay safe and we hope to see everyone back on Monday, September 30.”

Email Excerpt
Hey all,
First Coast News just informed us that they'd like to highlight KIPP Jacksonville in their "Five Schools in Five Days" series. We'd like to use this opportunity to highlight our regional academic wins, instructional practices, and student extracurriculars. While this is a great opportunity that could positively impact our student enrollment and community recognition, the turnaround to make this happen is tight.
The station will be on-site at KIPP Bold City (football field) at 5 AM this Friday.
If you're on this email, we need your help to make this happen.
Mr. Jordan — Can you bring 5-6 (Updated 15) football players in full uniform and come prepared to speak about your upcoming season and the game on Friday?
Principals, you're all welcome to come with your admin teams- the more staff, the merrier. I've attached a link to the most recent story to demonstrate what we're aiming for. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Petrina Parker, our regional Marketing Manager, who is copied on this email.
Thank you all in advance for working hard to make this happen!
